Course Description:  General principles of welding inspection including welding processes, terms and definitions, welding discontinuities, duties and responsibilities of inspectors, destructive and nondestructive testing, quality assurance/quality control, welding codes and blueprints, procedures, and case studies. An overview of welding tools and equipment, metallurgy, chemistry, and joint design.

Learning Outcomes:  Explain the duties and responsibilities of welding inspectors; use measuring systems; and perform destructive and nondestructive testing, preparation, and qualification of welding procedures.
